You've come a long way since you decided to learn to code all these past weeks, you can now create a web or native app, solve complicated user interface issues, and have even learned about this weird thing called Git!

Learning to code is tough especially when you’re trying to balance it with life in general. While you’ve closely mastered one skill to code, the next is to land yourself the job you always wanted.

What should your job search journey look like?

Any job search journey should start with setting goals and the most effective goals are SMART goals. SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-Bound

Before listing out your SMART goals, be clear about the direction you would like to take. Answering these questions will help you

Example: Javascript Front-end positions at Health or InsurTech startups in Berlin or Munich paying $50k+

Once you have a vision in mind you can break down your tasks into goals using the SMART framework

Specific - Does it use numbers and deadlines?

Measurable - Is there a clear metric to evaluate it?

Attainable - is it achievable at the time that it is set?

Relevant - does it make sense to use this goal?

Time-bound - does it have a specific time frame for completion?
